When I was about 13 or 14 years old I went to a party 3 houses away from my own and I was to young to get in the party so me and my friend hang out most of the night outside trying too sneak in the party. we tried and tried but no luck , so some of my friends went home. Just me and my friend Bebo were out there hanging out then this guy who lived there came out and said, “man y’all been out here all night do ya want to go in? “ so We were like hell yea. Me and Bebo walked in and there were like flashing strobe lights and people drinking and dancing and having a good time . Then we saw a circle form so I had to go and see what was going on. when I got in that circle I saw two guys dance battle ,but back then I didn’t know what a dance battle was .
These guys was popping and locking and gliding it was the hotest thing I haven seen till this day .
So I decided to become a dancer and do all the moves I saw that day so I could defeat a guy someday at a party. So I practiced and everyday whenever I got that chance to I would. Then I met this kid named Jukey, he showed me the way of battle dancing . he showed me That all u need to do is pop your shoulder to the beat and keep the tempo and then just flow with the music and make the crowed laugh and those keys I used to get me were I am.
Like 3 years later I saw the same kid at a party and I wanted to see him battle again, so I waited the hold night to see who he would battle and some guy was like “ a yo kid don’t u get down (dance)? “ I was like yea a little so they went and got the kid that can dance and told him to get at me (battle me). I was so scared I almost ran out , but my friend Jukey was like, “ man you can take “ so that boost up my confidence a tiny bit. So when we went at it for like 2 songs. He was real good, but I had the crowd laughing and wowing. so the kid start to run out of moves and kept on repeating his moves ,so I ended up winning that battle. I was so happy I could do back flips , but I didn’t .that’s how my love for dancing start and since then when ever I get a chance, I dance my legs off !!!.
