The Memories of Me When 9/11 Happened

I remember when 911 happened I was at a friend house in Queens. All the sudden, they told me to look at the news on the TV about what is happening in World Trade Center. I was shocked, scared, and worried about my family, I pick up the phone and tried to call my mother but, at that time the phone wasn’t working. I was so nervous because I didn’t know if she was safe.

I got dressed and rushed to the train station to get back to the city. When I got there I saw a lot of people standing there because the train wasn’t working. I was like, “how I’m going to get back to the city?” Everyone there looked frustrated and worried about their family, also. Luckily I bumped into a friend and her parents offered me a ride back.

There was so much traffic bumper to bumper I don’t even remember how long we were stuck there. In my mind I was just thinking, “How much longer do I have to stay in traffic in order to get to see my mom?”

When I finally got back to the city I rushed to go see my mom and little sister. Luckily they were safe because my mom worked near the World Trade Center.

Even though my mom and I don’t get a long that good, what ever happens to her or me, she is the first person that pops up my mind. I hope this tragedy never happens again. I’m grateful that my mom was okay. I can’t stop to feel sadness for others who lost their families and friends that was taken away that day at the end. I realized, even though my mother and I are not in good relations with each other, I still love and care for her. I just wished it don’t have to take a catastrophe like this for me to see it.
